RealApologetics.org receives all of its support from the people of God and is re-invested back to the people of God in the form of everything offered on this website: books, scholarship, free podcasts, free video/audio debates, instructional videos, etc. The biggest need for any ministry is prayer. God is sovereign and gives grace in concert with the prayers of His people. Pray for us, and that the gospel may be heard and articulated in an effective and God-honoring way all over the world. Pray specifically that God will bless what is said, written, and advanced through RealApologetics.org.
The other major need is academic, research, and technological resources. Below is a list of projects that need support through research materials and publication costs. - Mishandling the Word of Truth: A Critique of Hyper-Dispensationalism. This is the first comprehensive refutation of Hyper-Dispensationalism (as taught by Cornelius R. Stam and Joel Finck). It’s primary audience is pastors, but is useful for anyone who have encountered this particular heresy.
- Research for Seminary Thesis (“A Reformed Theological Anthropology”) and 3-volume series (Systematic Reformed Neurotheology). See here for more details on this project. In short, the entire enterprise of developing a reformed “philosophy of mind” is virtuallynon-existent, and Christians (myself included) are hardly capable of responding to the new challenges brought to the table by the new discoveries in neuroscience and consciousness. These challenges will continue to grow with every technological and scientific development that seeks to undermine the teaching of God’s images and what it means to be human. And with any such attempt, we must begin with a theology of mind before even addressing various critics of the biblical worldview.
- The Christian Doctrine of Gender. This book project will essentially be the first-ever Christian Doctrine of Gender. About 1/4 of the necessary research materials are prepared. This volume will follow the same format and systematic approach as vol 1-2 of the neurotheology book in terms of method (starting from exegesis of Scripture in both Old and New Testaments, leading to biblical theology, systematics, and then finally to a comparison of these conclusions with contemporary psychology, philosophy, and neuroscience). Gender and sexuality is an incredibly vital topic that has reaped massive confusion in this generation. A lack of consistent theology and proper exegesis has lead both liberal and conservative Christians astray from what should be a biblical doctrine of gender and sexuality. Homosexuality, bisexuality, transsexuality, gender roles, “orientation,” and biological sexual engineering will continue to advance unrestrained without an objective moral standard emanating from the pages of Scripture and promoted from the pulpit and in the public square. Furthermore, Christians will continue to be baffled as to how the church should interact with gender roles and discipline, positions of authority, etc. without a scholarly and biblical basis for such issues.
